Mom Sues University of Pennsylvania, The Suicide of Amazon During cyanide daughter
The mother of a student at the University of Pennsylvania, who committed suicide in 2013 by swallowing cyanide soluble crystals supposedly bought on Amazon is suing the school and online retailer.
Sujata Singh filed suit against Amazon and the University of Pennsylvania in late July, about two and a half years after his 20-year-old daughter, Arya Singh, committed suicide in his bedroom.
The lawsuit alleges that the nursing student was sexually assaulted when she was a freshman at the University of Pennsylvania, and said the school allowed the assailant accused to remain in the same bedroom Singh. The alleged shooter was not punished by the school, according to the lawsuit, which was published on the website of legal news Law360.
Sujata Singh is suing the school for negligence, claiming that teachers and administrators ignore issues that her daughter was experiencing as a result of the alleged sexual assault. The lawsuit says the school was aware of the behavior problems that may result from sexual assault because university administrators received a letter from the Department of Education that these complications is indicated.
The lawsuit also says the school never contacted Singh sister or mother about the problem behavior exposes the student, even though she told numerous campus authorities and counselors about the alleged assault.
Singh also reported the alleged assault at the University of Pennsylvania Police Department and the Philadelphia Police Department investigated the alleged assault and each creates a report, the lawsuit said. Neither police department could immediately confirm the reports were made on Friday.
Singh grades plummeted, he was arrested for alcohol intoxication and was the subject of more than academic research and misconduct, according to the statement. But the suit alleges that "the University employees conduct 'to her was indifferent, hostile and sometimes vindictive."
Singh said the February 8, 2013, he had to leave school in the middle of an investigation of misconduct against him, as the investigation prevented him register for classes, the lawsuit said. Hours later, he committed suicide by swallowing cyanide soluble crystals, according to the lawsuit.
A spokesman for the University of Pennsylvania, Ron Ozio, also declined to comment on pending litigation.
Singh bought the cyanide through a Thai company Amazon in early December, according to the lawsuit. Amazon processes the payment and a portion of the selling price remains, the complaint said.
"Despite having a policy and procedure to prohibit through its offer of websites and sale of prohibited items, illegal and hazardous substances banned in the United States, including but not limited to cyanide products, Amazon did not comply with the policy and procedure, "said the lawsuit.
Amazon began selling prevention cyanide February 2, 2013, but by then it was too late. The lawsuit says that another 51 people have bought the cyanide Singh Amazon before, resulting in the death of 11 buyers "within weeks of sale."
Sujata Singh Amazon sued for negligence and not impede the Thai company, which also appears as a defendant in the lawsuit, the sale of cyanide.
Amazon counsel, Andrew K. Garden, told NBC News that Amazon does not comment on pending litigation.

Monaco vice president Vadim Vasilyev believes Manchester United could have bought Neymar and Luis Suarez for the money they paid to prize away from Anthony Martial principality.
Old Trafford giants splashed out £ 36 million in the front unproven, a figure which could rise to £ 58 million in allowances and bonuses.
Vasilev described the move day term as "absolutely unique" and think the price could be attracted to one of the biggest stars of Barcelona to the Premier League.
"It is true that the price of Marcial is £ 58m, but considers this amount includes bonuses that are very realistic," Vasilyev told The Sun.
"It is absolutely unique is the price of Luis Suarez and Neymar -. The best players in the world.
On Sunday the player received an offer such that he could not have fallen. He asked us to find a solution and Monday morning the Manchester United made an offer to Monaco, the club could not refuse.

Now that most of the on-the-go devices default is stripped of ways of loading DVD and Blu-Ray, offline settings for the transmission of video services have become that much more desirable in areas with little or no reception. Unfortunately, the current king of the US harvest streaming, Netflix said in no uncertain terms that display options offline "never going to happen" and reasoning company was cold comfort to people in cabins, on airplanes, or Local ISP frequent blackouts.
For some time, Amazon Instant Video was the only American streaming video subscription service with the offline option, but service used to come with a fairly big catch: You need a brand Kindle tablet or phone to download streaming videos only. That changed Tuesday with the relaunch of the video application, now simply had called Amazon Video, for all Android and iOS devices.
Some other warnings remain, including the lack of a similar option for PC or Mac users and the fact that not every option Prime Instant Video can be downloaded. No list has been published so far, but as we found a lot of things, including all content Prime Amazon Studios, HBO, PBS, Cinemax and Lionsgate, was compatible, were not offers outings such as Columbia Pictures and Starz . (Also, Android users get to jump the extra ring Amazon Video download new Amazon app versus getting through Google Play. That application was delisted in December, a few months after its debut. The new Amazon app already has its own rings so).
You damn right it is that I'm downloading Space Jam see below.
Once you start to watch a downloaded video offline - which can be downloaded in one of three quality settings, the application a notice that the video will stop working 72 hours after it began to see displayed. Simply refill the application once you've returned to an Internet connection is restarted any such timers. In a neat twist, videos offline extracts also come with IMDB-fed "radiography" of Amazon that can be leveraged at any time, meaning you do not have to get in line to answer awkward questions who that actor. "But The application does not include any way of analyzing how much space you used to download videos or warning is still much space. You have to go through its menus iOS or Android device space to solve that sort of thing .
Today's news does not change the fact that you could prepay for individual episodes or movies to download to watch, to iTunes or Google Play Video.
Taylor Swift director defends 'colonial' Africa video
The director of the new video of Taylor Swift has defended after review represents a whitewashed version of Africa.
Video of dreams had been accused of glamorizing "white colonial fantasy of Africa".
But director Joseph Kahn has said "is not a video about colonialism but a love story on the set of a period film crew in Africa 1950".
SWIFT has not commented on the controversy surrounding the video.
Kahn denied in a statement that video includes only white people.
"The reality is not only were people of color in the video, but the key creative who worked on this video are people of color."
He notes that it is Asian, while producer and editor Jill Hardin Chancler Haynes are African American.
"We decided collectively would have been historically inaccurate to load the team with the most black actors as the video he would have been accused of rewriting history.
"This video is in the past by an established team in this and we are all proud of our work.
"There are black Africans in the video in a number of shots, but rarely cut to the faces of the team were the director and the vast majority of screen time is Taylor and Scott (Eastwood) ''.
The video has been viewed over 19 million times since it was released on Monday, but the criticism was rushed into operation.

Intel launched in Ifa I Skylake technology show
Intel has launched its latest range of processors, code-named Skylake, targeting everything from high-powered teams playing computer the size of a USB stick and smartphones.
The "sixth generation" Core family promises improved performance, battery life and graphics power thanks to a new microarchitecture.
The chips have also been optimized to better manage 4K videos.
But the US company could find it difficult to convince users that need new devices.
Microsoft is offering its latest operating system - Windows 10 - as a free update for the software suggests consumers should not be more demanding on processors that Windows 7 or Windows 8.
In the past, many households bought new computers when they wanted to upgrade operating systems, but could not do so on this occasion.
In addition, the slowdown in China's economy and the continued weakness of many European markets could cause businesses and governments to delay upgrading your kit.
Still, Intel said there are more than 500 million computers in use that are four years old or more.
And one analyst agreed that Skylake presents the company with new opportunities.
"A fairly large number of people who have an old PC and who are upgrading to Windows 10 will do so in a new team," said industry analyst Jack Gold technology.
"The most important thing to be attractive is the fact that power-requirements have been substantially reduced.

Intel manufacturing setbacks faced by making its latest generation of Core chips
"That will enable new form factors. - Thinner, lighter, smaller devices that do not need a fan to draw less power and more likely to get between 10 and 12 hours of life without adding much extra weight in batteries ".
Compressed 4K
Intel scheduled its release to coincide with IFA technology show in Berlin.
"Versus the core fifth generation, we are talking about an active power reduction of 60% and at the same time an increase in yield of 60%," Gregory Bryant Intel executive told the BBC before the event.
This is partly thanks to a technology called Speed Shift, he said, which allows processors to "shift gears" faster than before in order to reduce the amount of time they are kept running at its most high frequency energy when not needed.
Although this can only shorten each period by tens of milliseconds, the savings add up.
"In addition we have been in a march of several years to dramatically improve the graphics performance, and we're saying that there's even a 40% increase from generation-to-generation," said Mr. Bryant.

Skylake chips are designed to handle a new type of video compression
I said the chips were optimized to handle the new H.265 video codec - a new compression standard that allows 4K video files using less data being heard without sacrificing image quality.
4K video is four times the resolution of 1080p HD.
H.265 adoption has been delayed until now because some processors have difficulty handling the situation.
An observer company said last Intel chip design reflects current habits.
"We are in an age of consumption - people are seeing more and more video streams, games [easy] video and do other things that involve a lot of graphics, but do not require a lot of computing resources as the content and was created "said Sergis Mushell of tech consultancy Gartner.
Refrigerated Games
Intel has, however, targeted a specific niche of consumers who enjoy pushing their processors to the limit.

Intel will sell chips "unlocked" made for mobile devices for the first time
For the first time, it is supporting the "overclocking" of some of its chips for mobile devices.
The practice involves pushing processors to perform calculations at a higher speed than that set for causing more heat are emitted. In the past, Intel had closed its mobile chips to prevent this.
"Intel says something like 10% of the PC market is extreme gamers, and that's who it is," said Jack Gold.
"For boys and girls who want to refresh their laptops with liquid nitrogen [and other substances] and get the most you can from them."

Intel says it plans to launch more than 48 variants of Skylake processor in the coming months
In the coming months, Intel said it plans to launch about 50 different variants of Skylake processors.
However, he indicated that manufacturers must promote their new computers talking facilities complement rather than rely on new chip features.
Suggestions include:
It includes a depth camera REALSENSE Intel, which can be used so that users log on to a Windows 10 look at the sensor, and it is harder to fool traditional 2D webcams
Support for Ready Mode technology enterprise, allowing users wake a computer with your voice
WiGig adding a chip to allow laptops and tablets to be connected to external displays and other peripherals without the need for wires plug-in
These innovations can, indeed, be added to the computers work with older chips.

REALSENSE PCs equipped with a camera can identify users by recognizing your face, but do not be fooled by someone holding a photo of the owner
But since it is likely to become more frequent with the deployment of Skylake, an analyst agreed that it made sense to focus on them.
"Consumers are looking for what they can do differently in their systems compared to what they can do today," said Patrick Moorhead, founder of Moor Insights & Strategy.
"Therefore, the strategy of promoting what can be realized with computers instead of the speed of the chips and feeds is smart."
Intel's next challenge is to try to ensure that production of the chips smoothly.
Trouble making their chips earlier Broadwell caused several variants to be released later than expected, and led some buyers decide to wait rather than Skylake.
Intel says that the first of the new PC should be on sale later this year.
Trigger Mortis by Anthony Horowitz review – James Bond, but not as we know him
James Bond seems to have become a problem. Obviously, a literary character that generates billions of dollars for more than six decades is not the worst kind of problem you have, but presents a problem anyway. Since the death of Ian Fleming in 1964, Bond has passed through the hands of many writers - four of them since 2008. Sebastian Faulks, Jeffery Deaver and William Boyd wrote one novel each, and now we are Trigger Mortis, the attempt to Anthony Horowitz in reviving the relic of the Cold War. The truth is that, payday aside, entering blade heel sandals Fleming seems a thankless business. Not that Fleming is exactly inimitable, but parts of his style pastiche that are easy are also intolerably unpleasant, while the things that are worth copying are as elusive as they are distinctive.
Is a literary cliche recognize that Fleming was a sadist, a racist and misogynist, and there is nothing hidden about the cruelty that infuses the world of Bond. Women are bitches, any non-English-speaking white person and is definitely not subhuman, and torture is persistent and explicitly erotic. A modern Bond-chronicler could copy these things and create a distinctively Flemingish fiction but also one that reject all but the most Ukipper not apologized. However, even with all its brutality, Fleming was a gifted prose stylist and striking. Within the first three pages of Casino Royale, you know everything you need to know about Bond and his universe, a gasp-inducing headrush smoke and squalor and ambiguity that makes you crave other poisonous puff.
Horowitz's work, then, is both simple and borderline impossible Bond do exactly the same, and that is different. There are two things that give a leg up Trigger Mortis. First, Horowitz has already demonstrated his idea of Fleming with the Alex Rider series, which updates the myth consciously Bond for the 21st century (Occasionally, it tests the line between tribute and straight debt: Stormbreaker, for example, it is a Moonraker-ish tour with inferiority complex villain Hugo Drax and Le Chiffre's eyes, crowned with a last-second hero for salvation. which coincides with deferred Bond of Soviet counterintelligence agency SMERSH in Casino Royale) Secondly, Trigger Mortis makes use of unreleased material by Fleming (a treatment for an episode of a series of television Bonds never did), and as a direct continuation of Goldfinger - we get a continuation of the relationship Bond with Pussy Galore.

When it comes, the Fleming chapter slips almost perfectly, a testament to how attentive Horowitz was the style of his teacher. He offers precise concise prose that makes it so compelling Bond, but more than that, it also provides hints of ruthless poetry Fleming: a Maserati engine sounds as "a vast sheet of muslin endlessly torn", the scene burned a murder is " one ugly ad black for hatred, violence and despair ", and the Nürburgring race track (the plot has Bond go undercover as a playboy racing driver) is" a long green scream ". I suspect the latter is an original Flemingism, but it is notable that does not stand out, but unfortunately the game does lumpen words of the title. Horowitz also shared the pleasure of Fleming in detail in the real world engine specifications, models of firearms and contemporary news are incorporated everything with love. And Jason sin is a worthy entry into the pantheon of villains Bond, with his evil inclination to play with the lives of others.
While Trigger Mortis follows the contours established by Fleming, it is a brisk and efficient way. Problems arise when model deviates Horowitz. For example, the return of Pussy Galore can be a banker for the dust jacket, but rarely Bond was for long-term relationships and she is also a profoundly difficult to revive character for a modern audience: a head of a gang of lesbians turned to Bond (never having seen a "real man" before), which is revealed in the pillow talk that she is a victim of incestuous child sexual abuse. Horowitz's credit that he brings back as something like a woman in three dimensions, giving an arc that exceeds trite Freudian Bond masculinity. On the other hand, that arc fully occupies the first quarter of the book, it feels like a long time to postpone the excitement of a thriller in order to make a joke at the expense of the hero, however gratifying the auction.
And then there's the Bond himself, who is not quite interestingly Bond. Still a sexist and xenophobic, but the narrator no longer supports this chauvinism. But this Bond is unusually cultured: it has a habit of literary allusion that suggests a personality change suddenly, and when he sees the likeness of a young woman Jean Seberg, the implicit view of Bond taking the time to double-rights Or to catch a screening of Otto Preminger's Saint Joan, the only film he had made in 1957, when the book is set, it is almost unbearable fun. Even stranger, this Bond has no qualms about killing - not the ruefulness after the events in the program early in Goldfinger, but a genuine respect for human life to intercede in violence. As disgusting as Fleming's hero he is he squirts prefer the Bond Oddjob for an airplane window as toothpaste this merciful shade interior monologue. Horowitz undoubtedly closer than most to solve the riddle of Bond, but Trigger Mortis is lower than many riders as Alex Fleming senses fan service. The insoluble problem with Bond in the end, is Bond.
Javier Mascherano: I Would Hate to Be Lionel Messi, Given Criticism He Receives
Javier Mascherano says that despite the success profile and his teammate, Lionel Messi Argentina Barcelona and enjoys, he hates to be him, considering the criticism that has to suffer.
Spanish sports daily cites an interview with Argentine TyCSports, as the team still face questions about their failure to win major trophies.
Messi has not always been able to replicate the form he has shown for Barcelona at the international level, and Argentina was runner-up in the World Cup and the Copa America in the last two seasons.
Mascherano said:
Messi is not hidden and never far from criticism. I like to be Messi. It is something very special. Keeps coming (to the national team), even when it is about to become a father. We are football players who want to offer as much as you can. We are honest and try to do it the best way.
Would you rather be a Mascherano or Messi?
